Secondary School Grinds
Grinds are available to secondary school students, from 1st to 6th year, in all areas of the curriculum.
We currently offer grinds in Irish, English, Maths, French, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Business Studies. Additional subjects are available upon request.
how it works
Secondary school students can enrol at any time of the year. However, a minimum of 4 classes must be booked and paid for in advance. Each class is one hour long and students attend once a week. Homework is given and corrected every week and students are tested on the material covered in class on a regular basis.
Tuition is available on a one-to-one basis or in small groups of no more than four students. This ensures that every student receives the individual attention they need.
Easter and Christmas Revision Courses for Junior and Leaving Cert students are held throughout the year. We offer both full and half day courses, depending on demand. Every course is taught by fully qualified teachers, many of whom have also worked as state examiners. Each course focuses on important exam topics and extensive notes are provided to the students.
In line with our Mission Statement, we are committed to keeping class sizes small. To read about past courses, check out this blog post. To find out when we will be holding our next Revision Course, please contact us. Regular updates can also be found on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Pages (links at the bottom of the page).
Regular attendance is crucial to your child’s academic success. If a student cannot attend a class, we require 24 hours notice. This class will be rescheduled at no extra cost, although it cannot be rescheduled after the programme has finished.
If we receive less than 24 hours notice, or if the student does not show up for a class without contacting us, the absence is unexcused and the class will not be rescheduled.
