Primary School Grinds

Tuition is available to primary school students in Irish, English and Maths. We currently enrol students from Senior Infants to Sixth Class.

Before enrolling in an Irish, English or Maths programme, the student is given an academic assessment which identifies his/her strengths and weaknesses. Using a combination of standardised and diagnostic assessments, this is done to enable us to develop a personalised programme of study which targets the student's specific learning requirements. At the end of the programme, the student is re-assessed in order to ensure that the learning targets set at the beginning of the programme have been met.

If you'd like more information on the assessment procedure, read more here.

Academic Programmes

Primary school students can enrol at any time of the year. Each programme is 16 weeks long and classes run for one hour on a weekly basis. Throughout the programme, the students' progress is continually monitored and learning activities are adapted to suit their needs and abilities.

Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is crucial to your child’s academic success. If a student cannot attend a class, we require 24 hours notice. This class will be rescheduled at no extra cost, although it cannot be rescheduled after the programme has finished.

If we receive less than 24 hours notice, or if the student does not show up for a class without contacting us, the absence is unexcused and the class will not be rescheduled.
